The first flight Turin - Catania

 

Imagine being able to fly from Italy, over Italy with the state company.

Here is what happened for the first time in 1947, exactly on May 5 at 8.00 in the morning: with a Fiat G-12 marked I-DALH, the first commercial flight takes off from Turin to Catania with a stopover in Rome.

18 passengers took off for this pioneering Alitalia route, under the command of Colonel Virginio Rainero.
